Cylindrobasidium evolvens (Fr.) Julich syn. Corticium evolvens (Fr.) Fr. syn. Corticium laeve Pers. Krustiger Rindenpilz. Fruit body resupinate, 2–20cm across, white, cream or tan with white fimbriate margin; on vertical surfaces the fungus may form small delicate brackets up to 1.5´1cm. Spore-bearing surface cream then pinkish-ochre, cracking when dry. Spores white, pip-shaped, 9–12 x 6–7.5um. Cystidioles thin-walled, elongate, fusiform, intermixed with the basidia but seldom emergent. Hyphae distinct, with obvious walls and with clamp connections at the septa. Habitat on logs or fallen branches. Season all year. Common. Not edible. Found In Europe.
